The Isle of Arran is very dear to me and I have lifelong ties to the island.

In August 2024, together with members of the island community, I founded and launched the Arran International Festival. Having now completed our third year, we're building strong foundations for a festival rooted in the communities of Arran and outward-looking in spirit.

​

The festival's founding ethos is “getting across borders” in a world where so many lines are being drawn in the sand. At its heart is a belief in human connection, creativity, cultural exchange and the power of live performance.

We bring a wide range of music, arts and cultural traditions to the island, with a programme featuring international guests alongside outstanding local artists.

​

The festival takes place during the third week of August each year, in villages and distinctive venues across Arran.
